SMD synthetic diamond is manufactured under high pressure high temperature (HPHT). It has the characteristics of complete crystal shape, good transparency, high impact strength and great thermal stability. Mainly used for drilling tools, cutting tools and grinding tools etc.

SMD synthetic diamond can be divided into five quality grades:
SMD690: Consistent crystal shape, Good transparency, high impact strength and great thermal stability. Suitable for high strength saw cutting & high-performance drill bit.
SMD680: Complete crystal shape, Good transparency, high impact strength and thermal stability. Suitable for high strength saw cutting, drilling and grinding tools.
SMD660: Complete crystal shape with full surface, good diaphaneity, low impurity and high strength. Suitable for Circular saw, frame saws, geological broaches.
SMD640: Sharp edges, mechanically high strength. Suitable for ordinary saw blades or high quality in cutting circular saw blades.
SMD620: Comparatively regular crystal shape, sharp edges, mechanically high strength. Suitable for ordinary saw blades and grinding tools.
